Bio: Not even Malkus knows his race or homeplanet. He was found in the Beta Quadrant in an alien escape pod by the USS Byzantine. After graduating from the academy he served as a mission specialist on the USS Fearless, before serving on Deep Space 7 as Assistant Chief Science Officer. While on DS-7 Malkus attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander and the post of Chief Science Officer. After this there was a short stint at the academy, following which Malkus was assigned to the USS Balkans as Second Officer. When the Balkans' XO was killed during a botched Away Mission Malkus assumed his duties. After serving two years as the Balkans' XO Malkus has accepted the post of Commanding Officer of the USS Rome.
After assuming command of the Rome Malkus proceeds to lead the crew in a series of War Games with elements of the rest of Bravo Fleet. Following the success of the War Games he is awarded with the Bravo Fleet Medal of Achievement. The Rome then proceeds to the Romulan Neutral Zone to conduct peace talks with the Romulans and a Scientific Mission at the same time. While exploring Romulan Space, Captain Malkus and Crewman Recruit Zippy come upon a fighter and its pilot. They are a relic left over from the Temperal Cold War.
At the conclusion of the successful peace talks, Malkus is promoted to Captain, and the Rome is ordered to Deep Space Seven for a little down time and to pick up Chief Medical Officer Lieutenant Junior Grade Layla Sachs. While en route the ship is attacked and Malkus suffers a number of minor injuries in the attack, for which he is awarded the Purple Heart.

Attended Starfleet engineering school (took courses in Transwrap technology and Borg Technology and Shield technology.) Took advance training in shuttle craft piloting and fighter craft training Worked in research and development on projects pertaining to Borg.
Is consider one the few experts on Borg technology. Also has files on top secrets experiments like the phase cloak and other special projects some of it is bits and pieces.
Has taken advanced courses in math and quantum physics.
Has also taken counseling courses at Starfleet Academy to get her degree to become a ship's counseler and advance training on Betaizod
Special Note: While on broad the research vessel Norway. Lt.Ra'kal was out testing the special shielding technology on abroad a convert Runabout when the Norway came across a Borg scout ship. A battle took place between them ending with the Norway wrap core exploding and servely damaging the Borg scout vessel. When Ra'Kal return she came across the wreckage of both the Borg ship and the Norway. Well she couldn't let a chance like this pass up. She manage to savage some Borg weapons and a Borg Transwrap coil. She also recover the Message buoy from the Norway. Her long range sensors started picking up another Borg scout ship heading her way and decided that it would be advisable for her to hide inside the sun. Sense the radiation would hide her emissions and would give her a better chance to live. Just as she was heading into the sun corona a borg scout ship appeared. After about thirty minutes of hiding they left and she headed back to the nearest starbase to report what had happen.
Personality: she tends to keep to herself most of the time. She is very loyal to friends and those she respect. She continues to work on projects in her spare time and when things start getting to much she relaxes by swimming or listening to soft Music and reading. Her favorite drinks are of Romulan blend and can speak Romulan, Klingon and Cardissan. She is obsess to find a way to kill the Borg. She has lost friends and family dear to her and her parents too. The only thing she has left of them is her Mother's Romulan Captains Uniform and some of her personal weapons and her Fathers Starfleet marine uniform and his Rifle that he used to defend himself. She also embraces her human side as respect to her father. She has a over size Teddy bear in her quraters that her father gave her wearing a T_shirt with a smiley face on it with a bullet hole above the eyes with blood dripping down saying "Bang your dead."
